ProvenanceGuard

§ DURABLE PROVENANCE RECOVERY REGISTRY

Metadata stripped? Recover the record from the pixels.

Every asset sealed with ProvenanceGuard is registered with a perceptual fingerprint (aHash + dHash + pHash, computed from the real pixels at seal time). Upload any copy — a screenshot, a re-encode, a metadata-stripped download — and we search the registry by fingerprint similarity. On a match we return the recovered provenance record: the seal summary and its public verification link.

Honest scope: this is a fingerprint-only soft binding. ProvenanceGuard does not embed an invisible watermark. A match is stated with its measured similarity, and the stated threshold is a combined distance of at most 36 of 192 fingerprint bits. Unrelated images do not match; heavily cropped or re-composed images may not either, and we say so when nothing matches.
